The format of the Mini Symposium on Sustainable Aviation Management (ISSAM-18) will be arranged with the following major elements as general papers presented in oral and poster sessions, keynote papers by invited speakers, and specialized sessions on special topics and Panel on Sustainable Aviation. There will also be social events and pre- and post-symposium tours. High quality papers of archival value will be considered in extended form for publication in various reputable international journals.

IJSA handles a broad range of aviation-related issues with particular emphasis on environmental problems associated with sustainability. Aviation is cited as one of the major sources of noise and air pollution and considered a prominent cause of global warming. Future trends in aviation could constitute a major impediment to having sustainable development in economic, social and environmental perspectives. Sustainable aviation is a long term strategy aiming to offer innovative solutions to the challenges facing the aviation industry.

It is our pleasure to announce the SMini Symposium on Sustainable Aviation Management as a part of the International Symposium on Business and Economics organised by GSI in collaboration with Mediterranean University. This major international event is going to be held in Montenegro, on 5th-8th September 2018. 

 

We look forward to receiving your submissions and seeing you in September 2018, in Montenegro.

All abstracts will be published in the Symposium Abstracts Book. Full papers will be published in the Symposium Proceedings Book. Some of the selected papers will be published in selected journals. Journal publication policies, terms and conditions apply.

Presentations will include but are not limited to, the following themes/topics within information sciences and technologies fields

 

  • Sustainable aviation; green aircraft and airlines

  • Environmental impacts: emissions/noise, global warming/climate change

  • Life cycle design and life cycle assessment; cost efficiency; waste/recycling

  • Strategic planning, governmental legislation, policy-making

  • Aviation management, fleet planning/scheduling; air traffic management; future air transport

  • Airport design, management, planning, development

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

In order to present at GIS international symposiums, authors should submit their abstracts before the submission deadline. All abstracts go through a double blind peer-review.  Notifications regarding the review process will be sent to author emails. Accepted abstracts will be added into the symposium program and published in the Symposium Abstracts Book only after the registration by at least one of the authors is compeleted. Full papers (optional) will also be published in the Symposium Proceesings Books.

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Language:
Abstracts/full papers can be prepared in English for the Mini Symposium.

 

Abstract/Paper Format:

Abstracts/full papers should conform to APA (American Psychological Association) style.

 

Please download the template from Congress System to prepare your abstratcs/full papers.

Abstracts/full papers should be prepared in accordance to FILE FORMATS.

 

File Format:
Authors are required to submit their abstratcs/full papers in .doc or .docx formats.

Submissions in any format other than Microsoft Word will NOT be considered.
